THE QUINTESSENTIAL CHARMING SMALL TOWN

Thank you for visiting the Town of Elloree’s website. I hope that you find the information provided on this site useful. Elloree is the quintessential charming small southern town. As Mayor, I hope what you see and read about our charmingly southern small town will entice you to visit. Who knows, you may plan to visit for a day but may find a home awaits you!

We are easy to find and easily accessible from either Interstate 26 or 95, and we are conveniently located just a few miles from Santee, home of the famous 110,000 acre Lake Marion and several of the best golf courses in the state.

I encourage you to come and visit our award winning Elloree Heritage Museum and Cultural Center where you can see what life in Elloree has been like since 1886. This farming community we call home is also now a place to shop for antiques, dine in unique settings, or stroll down the streets of our revitalized downtown area. Join us in March for the exciting running of the Elloree Trials. Some of the finest thoroughbred horse racing in the state. Each spring and fall we host a town wide yard sale called our Trash-to-Treasures. Who knows what treasure await to be found.

Our community is proud of our annual 4th of July celebration in Joe Miller Park. We invite your family to join our families in an evening of festivities which include a firework show. In October Joe Miller Park will home to the “haunted half-mile” as families, businesses, and civic groups turn our walking trail into the sweetest place in town with trunk-a-treat.

You just may find that small town life is just what you have been missing! If you like friendly folks, mild climates, fishing, hunting, golfing, shopping, or just relaxing, then Elloree just might be the place for you. Come see us and you might stay a day, or maybe the rest of your life.

Y’all come back to visit.
Mike Fanning, Mayor
