NOTICE OF THE TOWN OF ELLOREE SPECIAL ELECTION

STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA COUNTY OF ORANGEBURG
Notice is hereby given that the Special Election for the Town of Elloree will be held on Tuesday,
March 31, 2026. The purpose of this Election will be to elect a Council Member for District
Three to serve an unexpired term as required by law.
Any person wishing to register to vote in this election must do so no later than March 1, 2026.
Citizens desiring to be candidates for the above listed office must reside within the town limits of
Elloree SC. The filing period begins January 16, 2026, at 12:00 noon. All candidates must file
the Statement of Intention of Candidacy no later than 12:00 noon, January 26, 2026, with the
Town Clerk at the Town of Eloree, located at Town Hall, 6512 Old Number Six Highway,
Elloree, South Carolina. No filing fee for Council.
At 10:00 a.m. on Election Day, the County Board will begin its examination of the absentee
ballot return envelopes at Orangeburg County Voter Registration & Elections Office, 1475
Amelia Street, Orangeburg, South Carolina.
On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., the Municipal Board of Canvassers will hold a
hearing to determine the validity of all provisional ballots cast in this election. This hearing will
be held at the Orangeburg County Voter Registration & Election Office located at 1475 Amelia
Street, Orangeburg, South Carolina.
The following precincts and polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.:
